A while ago I got sent this tee from Dead Heroes & Ive pretty much lived in it ever since. Normally when people say that, they mean they have worn it a handful of times. I mean that Ive worn it, slept in it & then pretended I'd just put it clean on again the next morning. If there ever was a rock n roll t-shirt - I guess this would be it . I first became familiar with the brand after seeing them featured in Nylon & Fearne Cotton spotted in one of their pieces. I gave one of these babies away in my Blogger Competition a while ago but am so grateful I got to keep one for myself.
The t-shirt is unisex, & as someone who has taken to actually just buying men's clothes instead - it acts as a bridge between my femininity & my androgynous tendencies . "We Will Live Forever or Die by Suicide" is a line paraphrased from "As a nation of free men we will live forever or die by suicide" - an exert from a speech by Abraham Lincoln given in 1838.
I picked the tartan dress up in a £5 bin at a London market which was massively influenced by the 90's grunge images that adorn my walls- I wish i could have lived down in London in the early 1990's - I would have been an extremist without a doubt.
This weekend I was at the Viva Magazine party at the Circle Club in Manchester & then whisked off to the Hollyoaks set to take part in the filming of the Hollyoaks Music Show courtesy of the Matalan ladies. When this airs I'll bang the photos up - until then I have my next campaign shoot to create.
N.B Thankyou to everyone for sticking by me the last few months. Let's just say I'm back - & even though the last few weeks have been some of the most difficult - I'm finally where Ive always wanted to be . I'm so grateful for all the support.
